God Bless You Mr. Rosewater... RIP Kurt
It's a sad day for American literature. Kurt Vonnegut died last night in his Manhattan apartment from complications following a spill he'd taken a few weeks ago. Kurt spent nearly 55 years treating the world to his wonderful insights and hardly banal observations.
A contemporary literary giant, humourist, and fellow GelaSkin artist, Kurt was best known for his satirical and socially conscious novels like Slaughter-house 5, Cat's Cradle and Breakfast of Champions. Through 14 novels, countless essays and plays, Kurt had a gift for making us laugh at the absurdity of daily life, making us question why we're here and just what the hell are we doing to our mother earth.
RIP KV
So it goes.
